Re: HSCP Advanced Practice Framework
Dear colleagues,
I am very pleased to share the HSCP Advanced Practice Framework with you. This document represents the culmination of a process of research, collaboration, engagement and consultation, led by the National HSCP office. I would like to extend my gratitude to the members of the HSCP Advanced Practice Working Group, for their dedication and commitment to this work. I also wish to acknowledge Research Matters for producing the Report of Literature Review and Policy Analysis of Advanced Practice in the Health and Social Care Professions which supported an evidence informed approach to the development of the Framework.
I am very grateful to the HSE Chief Clinical Officer, Dr Colm Henry, the HSE National Clinical Director Integrated Care, Dr. Siobhán Ni Bhriain (project sponsor), and the HSCP professional bodies for their support.
Throughout this process we have been engaging closely with colleagues in the Department of Health and will continue to do so with regard to implementation of the HSCP Advanced Practice Framework and the next phase, developing the education and credentialing pathway for HSCP Advanced Practice.
I look forward to further engagement with you on this important development in the coming year.
Kind regards,
Jackie Reed
National HSCP Lead
