Current status and recommendations for improving uptake and implementation of Clinical Audit of Medical Radiological Procedures: QuADRANT, a European study on Clinical Audit of Medical Radiological Procedures

Dear EFRS member,

I trust my email finds you well.

On behalf of the EFRS Executive Board, I kindly invite you to read the attached document “Current status and recommendations for improving uptake and implementation of Clinical Audit of Medical Radiological Procedures: QuADRANT, a European study on Clinical Audit of Medical Radiological Procedures”.

QuADRANT is a European project on clinical audit of medical radiological procedures as mandated in the BSSD.

EFRS has contributed to this document, represented by the colleagues Ana Geão (PT), Gianfranco Brusadin (IT) and Marie-Louise Ryan (IE), to whom the EFRS EB thanks once again, for their precious work, and for contributing to raise the profile of the profession.

Accreditation and certification systems can play an important role and should include assessment of clinical audit participation. Clinical audit should be embedded in healthcare professionals’ education programmes. A more active role for patients in clinical audit practice and policy is recommended.

EFRS EB encourages all clinical, academic and research Radiographers to engage more with clinical audit and to be key players on their daily practice.

On behalf of the EFRS Executive Board,
